Last night was great.  I never actually thought about seeing Alanis in concert even though I love her music.  When I heard she was going to be playing with Matchbox 20 it was a no brainer!  Chris and I had such a good time...with the exception of stupid smelly people around us.  All in all though it was wonderful.  Alanis was fantastic and has such an incredible voice. Rob was great too.  Oh and did I tell you how much fun it was going through downtown Tampa through heards of drunken people hauling coolers, tons of police and blocked off roads due to Gasparilla.

A quiet weekend at home...just what I needed.  Our living room, hall, kitchen and dining room are finally almost done being painted.  That only leaves one more room to be painted.  We were planning on going to see Bourne Ultimatum this weekend but we ended up curled up on the couch watching Season 3 of Buffy The Vampire Slayer.  It's back to work tomorrow.  I am really enjoying my new position and have had a great start as a Licensed Banker.  I brought in a $3MM client last week.  My Investment Consultant loves me now!  Anyway, a lot is going on at work, in a good direction!  I can't talk about the details yet but hopefully I will hear something this week!

So, where do I start?  Well, this was my first week in my new branch.  Oh, by the way, I got my promotion!  I am the new Assistant Branch Manager at the E. Englewood office.  Monday was my first day and I HAD NO VOICE!!!  I lost my voice over the weekend when my mom was here...I blame her for visiting.  Anyway, I ran the sales meeting anyway, best I could.  I was in Business Banking for Branch Managers training Tuesday through Thursday and then I was back in the office today.  I spent most of the day with my Lead Teller and some of my other staff working out the "new" way we are going to start doing things.  Bonnie, my new manager, is very nice.  She pretty much wants me to "take over".  She wants to be able to concentrate on bringing in new Business to the branch and I run everything else which is perfectly fine with me.  She sat down with me today and told me point blank that she knows this will just be a stepping stone.  She will help me become a Branch Manager.  I thought that was pretty nice, most of my other manager's wanted to hold me back, I could only assume they don't want young people to take over their positions.  Anyway, I passed my Life, Health & Annuity License test a few weeks ago and they already have a huge pipeline for me to work.  As of Aug. 23rd, I will be able to sell Fixed Annuities and Life Insurance.  I am so excited!  There is so much going on lately, its hard for us to keep up with all of the changes.  Chris got a promotion, I got a promotion, we have both been in training a lot for different things, etc..  Well, its time to relax.  Everyone have a nice weekend!  ;)

Well, here is the good and the better of the past couple of weeks:

Chris and I spent his birthday in Key West, we had a blast!  We stayed in this little Bed & Breakfast right off of Duval St. which is the main strip.  We must have walked up and down Duval like a million times over.  It rained a little on the second day we were there...of course the day I went out to take pictures with my SLR.  Oh well, we ended up in a bar at 10:30 in the morning until the rain cleared up.  Believe it or not, there were completely wasted people there, even at that time in the morning.  It only took about 6 and a half hours and we had a great time driving there and back...I love road trips with my husband.

Next, work...where do I start?  Well, the past couple of weeks have been crazy.  Last week I was only at work for 3 out of the 5 days and I had the most loan applications for our entire region...as a result, I got a phone call from 3 different Senior Executives, including the one over the entire state of FL!!!  Also, I guess my name was mentioned at an Executive meeting for my mortgage referrals for the first quarter...I made our branch goal for the quarter on my own equaling over $2 Million.   I guess even my regional was bragging on another regions conference call because I also got calls from my friends I used to work with over in Venice asking what I was doing to get those applications!!!  I love when Executives know my name.

Oh, and did I mention that the only other FSR in my office is leaving to go work for another bank, don't even get me started on how retarded the move will be for her.  But the upside to it is that I now, starting Friday, will have my own office with a window overlooking Charlotte Harbor!!!  I am so excited, not to mention that I will be the only FSR so I will have twice the sales!  Oh and I am all signed up for getting licensed in May before I leave for vacation!!!

Sorry to rant for so long, I just have had a busy, good couple of months and wanted to share.  Hope all is well for everyone else too!  :)

Since LJ doesn't like to post pictures from my phone any longer...here is the pic from yesterday!!!

So, starting in December I became a loan officer and got off of the teller line...about time!  I am actually in one of the slowest offices probably in the entire region and I met my goals for December, January and I have already made my February goal before February even started!  I have yet to miss a beat!  I love this.  I have already got a few things ready for March, over a month away!  

Hmmmm...now all I need is a new manager and a teller or two that actually WANT to refer clients to my desk.  Almost every sale that I have made has been MY sale.  I have to work very hard for everything I get because we have maybe 4 to 5 clients in our lobby a day!!!  This sucks when you have goals to meet!  Oh well, everything is going well even though I have to pretty much beat and drag my clients to my desk...lol.

Well, I will stop rambling now.

Chris and I are going to Lakeland this weekend for a day.  My sister is buying our extra car from us and it is her birthday too so we are taking her, the kids and my grandmother, who also has a birthday this month, out for dinner.  Ok, well have to make dinner soon.  Will try and post more often...lol, yeah right.  :)

Happy New Year everyone! Sorry I haven't posted in awhile. With the holidays (to and from Pinellas every weekend), my new job and everything I just haven't made the time to post. So...heres an update:

Christmas was great. Chris liked his present from me...a new radio mount and his new tool box from his mom and Opi. I got a new robe and some perfume, body wash and jewelry from my hubbie...how sweet! New Years was fun, too much fun for me...

Autumn + beer + wine + midori sours + Mike's hard *insert flavor here*=Autumn falling on the ground and being a drama queen for hours on end!!! LOL Never again! That's a promise!


Work is great. I love my new job. I am still getting to know everyone there but so far so good. I may be getting the chance to get my Series 6 and become licensed for SunTrust too. This will be so awesome! The only bad news is that we have started Saturday hours so I have to work on random Saturdays. Oh well...I'll deal!


Chris and I have already planned our vacations for this year. I took a few days off for Chris' birthday so that we can go to the Keys hopefully, we have been wanting to go for a few years now but never actually make it. We are going to NC and TN for the week of Memorial Day. We also have three weddings this year: my friend in SC (August), my sister in NC (September) and my mom(TBD). Anyway we have a jam packed year ahead!
